Michelle Knox is originally a New Jersey native who has lived across the country, following her passion for art and design for more than 20 years. She received her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from The California College of the Arts in the Bay Area, and was awarded a Master of Fine Arts from Tulane University in New Orleans. Most recently she completed a Non-Profit Leadership Training Certification from The County College of Morris in New Jersey. Michelle is focusing her new skills on grant writing and fundraising for passions she believes in. In 2021, she is starting a consulting firm dedicated to funding the arts, the environment and social equity issues around the globe.

When not focused on her own work, Michelle promotes community engagement in the arts by designing educational programming, creating public art and planning fabulous events.  She is also a passionate activist when aligning her interests with those of her community and relevant contemporary issues.

Michelle resides in Keyport, New Jersey, and is the current President of the Arts Society of Keyport, A Board of Director member at Monmouth Arts, team member  Keyport Green Team, a Stakeholder in the NJ Department of Cultural Affairs; Neighborhood Preservation Program, an Elected Monmouth County Democratic Committee Member, a fulltime employee of the Morris School District, as a program manager of the Life Long Learning Programs and a mom of a lively 3 year-old!
