A labyrinth is a single one- way winding path leading into and back out of a space. They can be found all over the world and date back thousands of years. Labyrinths are used as a meditative tool for reflection and to quiet the mind. The Keyport Community Labyrinth plays with that idea, and during the COVID-19 crisis of 2020, invited members of the community to walk this path and join in community solace by decorating the bricks used to construct this labyrinth. The result of this community effort lies here. It is available for all to meditate with, play, or simply walk by while recalling the isolation of the crisis and the community strength that prevails here in Keyport. This project was conceived and constructed by members of the Arts Society of Keyport and local volunteers.
